Bew Road Culvert Upgrade

Project progress is taking shape on the Bew Road Culvert Upgrade, with Stratos Civil now in the final stages of construction and pavement works nearing completion.

This project has required careful planning and coordination from day one. With challenging weather conditions, existing services and live traffic to manage, our team implemented a side access track and water diversion to keep works progressing safely and efficiently throughout construction.

Scope of Works:

  • Traffic management

  • Service location

  • Erosion and sediment controls

  • Construction and removal of side access track

  • Earthworks cut to fill

  • Culvert slab and apron/wing walls construction in accordance with TMR standards

  • Placement of reinforced concrete box culverts

  • Sub-base and base course pavement

  • Sealing of finished surface

  • Signage

  • Stabilisation of grasses surface

Challenges & Solutions:

  • Service location and work around existing Telstra service

  • Construction of culvert slab, aprons, headwall and wingwalls in drainage line

The Bew Road Culvert Upgrade will provide and improved drainage asset to the Tablelands Region community. All works have been performed in accordance with project standards and in a safe manner.
